I feel so strongly about cleansing with oil that I only used coconut oil to clean my youngest for the first 3 months of her little life. I would rub her down with the oil and wipe it off with a warm cloth.
But for my face...
I put drop of castor oil and pool a bit of sweet almond oil or grapeseed oil into my palm and mix it up. You can also premix the proportions into a clean, empty bottle to use. From here, I rub the oil on my face in a circular motion and remove with a warm, wet cloth. Get the cloth as hot as your hands can handle, lay it across your entire face until it starts to cool, then sweep it across your face to remove the oil. Repeat if you feel the need to.
For the cloth, I've used washcloths for a few years, but recently I've cut a baby burp cloth in 4 and that works wayyyyy better for a couple of reasons INCLUDING the fact that it doesn't hold the oil in it and ruin the wash cloth for future use for anything but this purpose.
